20th Century Fox announced this week the official title for the Independence Day sequel:Independence Day: Resurgence.
Set for Summer 2016, the film sees the nations of planet Earth up against another alien invasion, using recovered alien technology. However, nothing can prepare us for the aliens' advanced and unprecedented force.
The film features a cast that includes Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe and Sela Ward.
Roland Emmerich is tapped as director.
Independence Day: Resurgence is due out June 24, 2016
