Ice-T Defends Right To Bear Arms, Says Guns Meant To 'Protect Yourself From The Police' :::: Video

There's been a lot of talk regarding gun control through tougher gun laws in wake of the tragic movie theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado last week.
Rapper Ice-T has spoken out regarding the topic, defending Americans' constitutional right to bear arms, calling gun ownership the "last defense against tyranny".
In an interview with Channel 4 News, the rapper explained his opinion as to why people should be legally able to own guns.
"I'll give up my gun when everybody else does. Doesn't that make sense? If there were guns here, would you want to be the only person without one?" Ice asked. "Yeah, it's legal in the United States. It's part of our constitution. The right to bear arms is because it's the last defense against tyranny. It's not to hunt; it's to protect yourself from the police."
According to Ice-T, trying to link gun control to the tragic Colorado shooing last week is ridiculous, adding that changing laws pertaining to guns would not stop anyone from using them to commit crimes.
"If someone wants to kill people, they don't need a gun," he argued. "Not really, you can strap explosives on your body. They do that all the time. [Amending laws is] not going to change anything in the United States. The United States is based on guns. Like KRS says, you'll never have justice on stolen land. So it's not going to change."
