Young Jeezy made his Corporate Thugz Entertainment imprint one artist stronger earlier this week, when he announced the addition of Philly rapper Tone Trump.
On Sunday (May 27), the ATL rap star officially welcomed Tone to the CTE family, via a pic of the two popping bottles of champagne during Memorial Day Weekend in Miami. "CTE WELCOMES TONE TRUMP TO THE FAMILY #ITSTHAWORLD," Jeezy wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a photo
Later this week, the new signee spoke to XXLMag.com to explain his new affiliation with CTE, which is also home to artists such as Freddie Gibbs, 2Eleven, Slick Pulla, and the group USDA among others.

Tone says he's actually been signed since mid-May, but no one knew until Jeeyz made the official announcement at Miami's Club Amnesia via a toast.
"[Jeezy] bought $12,000 in [Moet] champagne, it was all Rose except one bottle of Ace of Spades. He gave me the bottle of Spades. We did the toast, welcomed me to the family," Tone Trump recalls. "Crowd went off. It's been whirlwind man... I'm the newest member of CTE."
Although Tone celebrated the deal with his new family, he said they got right to work afterward ... and it was business his whole trip to Miami.
"I was in Miami for four days, I didn't even see the beach. Big homie, his work ethic is crazy," the rapper tells XXL. "When we didn't have events to go to -- from ten in the morning until seven in the morning turning up -- we did a bunch of new records. I'd rather be working than partying."
Tone Trump and Jeezy collaborated on a record called "Afghan" in late 2011, and it leaked online in October. Apparently, the song was the turning point in his career. It got labels interested, and after several meetings, he chose to reach out to Jeezy, out of loyalty, to see if CTE was the right fit. Apparently, it was.
"When he did the verse for 'Afghan,' wasn't no business," Trump clarifies. "He didn't charge me. He was in the middle of finishing up TM103, it was a lifesaver. It was almost like he threw me a raft. I wasn't drowning, but I was in the water with them sharks. I was holding my own, but a co-sign can go a long way. To get a co-sign form the biggest street artist in the game and I do street music, what else could you ask for?
"That 'Afghan' record changed my life and started getting me meetings," he continued. "I reached out to Jeezy and was like 'I feel like [CTE] is my home already.' I wanted Jeezy to be a part of my project no matter what. If I had signed somewhere else, I would want him to be my executive producer. He said 'If we gonna do it, let's do it right. All I ask for loyalty and you go hard.' "
