BMW announced last Friday (June 15) details about the second generation version of their success sedan, the BMW Alphina B7, set to launch later this year.
The B7 boasts a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, bringing the vehicle an additional 40 horses, up to 540; and 22 pound-feet more torque with a 538 total. It also features a new eight-speed automatic transmission, a Valvetronic throttle-less intake technology, helping it hit a top speed of 194 mph, and 0-60 in 4.3 seconds.
Visually, the exterior of the B7 includes new kidney grilles, flanked by redesigned Xenon Adaptive headlamps, LED fog lights and revised taillamps.

The interior features now-standard ceramic secondary controls, engine Automatic Start-Stop, and the Active protection system. Optionally, the B7 Sedan will offer Full LED Headlights, Bang & Olufsen Surround Sound System, new exterior colors and interior upholstery choices in-line with the 7 Series update.
Renewed BMW individual color and trim offerings complete the package, and things are capped off with its signature 21" ALPINA Classic 20-spoke wheels and Alpina Blue Metallic paint.
The 2013 BMW Alpina B7 is slated to debut in North American at the historic Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August and will go on-sale immediately thereafter. Pricing will start at $127,600 and can go up to $134,500 for the B7 LWB with xDrive.
