Jay-Z has been hit with a paternity suit by 21-year old Rymir Satterthwait, an aspiring rapper from New Jersey by way of Philadelphia, whose mother Wanda allegedly had an affair with Jay-Z back in the 90s. The case was filed in New Jersey family court last December, but was dismissed after Jay-Z's lawyers claimed that he did not live in New Jersey. Now, a paralegal who has filed the case in civil court on Satterthwait's behalf (also his legal guardian) says Jay-Z's lawyers claim was fraudulent.
This isn't the first time Jay-Z has been accused of fathering a love child. Back in 2011, Shenelle Scott claimed he was the baby daddy of her 13 year old. Back then, reps for the rapper called the rumors “ridiculous.”
There has been no official statement from the Jay-Z camp on this particular lawsuit. Because the story originated with The National Enquirer, there will probably be no response. But Satterthwait's photo has been making its round on the internet, and he bares a striking resemblance to Jay-Z. The Enquirer talked to a plastic surgeon, who analyzed the photo of Rymir and Jay-Z and said they had similar features. “Their facial structures appear very similar. It could be a sign of inheritance,” says Dr. Anthony Youn.
Still, there is obviously a chance that this could be frivolous. Only a paternity test time will tell.
