Rapper-turned-reality TV star Benzino has been arrested for the second time in less than a month after police busted him for possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended licence on Wednesday.
The former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta regular was stopped by cops in Atlanta, Georgia for failing to wear a seat belt, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.com.
Upon further inspection, the officers allegedly found a stash of pot inside his car, and also discovered the rapper had been driving on a suspended licence.
Benzino, real name Raymond Scott, was taken into custody, with bail set at $2,269.
The arrest comes weeks after he was held at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on 27 January after staff spotted a loaded gun in his laptop bag as he went through a security checkpoint.
Benzino was escorted to a local jail and booked for the weapons charge, and then released on $3,000 bail.
He later spoke out about the incident, claiming it was an “honest mistake” and he simply forgot to remove the firearm that he carries for self-defence.
