Tyga Slammed for Abandoning Illegal Pet Tiger :::: #Music

Tyga is being called out by a California animal shelter for abandoning his illegal pet tiger.

A couple years ago, the rapper showed off a number of pictures with the exotic cat on Instagram, but it was eventually taken from him by Animal Services.

The tiger, now named Maverick, was sent off to rescue organization, Lions, Tigers & Bears, who says that caring for the tiger has proven to be a financial burden, while adding that Tyga has not helped.

LT&B says care for the tiger costs up to $10,000 per year, due to food, vet care and general maintenance. While the expenses were expected, they did not expect Tyga to simply abandon the animal. Staff says he never made any effort to help care for the tiger, reports TMZ.

Bobbi Brink, the founder and director of LT&B, says the rescue relies on public donations to care for their animals.

Law enforcement tells TMZ that Tyga effectively dodged the charges he faced, because they couldn't track him down when he moved.
