Wednesday (Aug. 24) was "Kobe Bryant Day" in Los Angeles, during which the city celebrated the NBA star's philanthropic work at City Hall.
With his pregnant wife Vanessa and two daughters by his side, Kobe received cheers, applause and chants for "Kobe" as he walked into the building.
While honoring the NBA legend, city counsel members sang "Happy Birthday" to Kobe, who turned 38 Tuesday (Aug. 23).
Eventually, Kobe got behind the podium to thank the city for the honor.
