Furious 7 just hit theaters on Friday (April 3), and is already set to have a HUGE weekend.
According to Variety, the seventh installment in the film franchise is expected to hit record-setting numbers, as much as $125 million at 4,004 U.S. locations.
So far, Furious 7 has earned up to $55 million, including $15.8 million in 3,069 Thursday-night showings that started at 7 p.m. in the U.S.
Estimates had placed the Friday-Sunday number at $115 million, but being that it's Easter weekend, numbers could be higher.
Starring Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker, Furious 7 is on pace to easily set a record for an April opening weekend, beating current record holder Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which opened with $95 million on the same weekend last year.
