Soulja Boy Says Beef With Chris Brown Started With Rihanna :::: #Music

Soulja Boy recently broke down where the origins of his beef with Chris Brown, which he claims stems from Rihanna.

During an appearance on Hollywood Unlocked, the rapper tells the story, with Floyd Mayweather sitting by his side, where he insists that while their recent issues started with Karrueche, it really dates back to 2009, when the singer was with Rihanna.

"What he really mad about is that I was with Rihanna, you know what I’m saying?" Soulja Boy says during the interview. "And no one would have never knew that, n*gga, if he hadn’t come and started tripping about Karrueche. I was with Rihanna, son. Rihanna, n*gga. Yeah, Google the sh*t, YouTube the sh*t."

Soulja says he was hanging out with Rihanna and Brown at the Grammy Awards party right before the infamous assault went down, and shortly after, was contacted by Rihanna, who wanted to hang out.

"I'm in L.A., I'm on tour with Lil Wayne at this time, Rihanna called my manager," he explained. "'I want to come to Soulja Boy Concert.' I'm a young n*gga from the hood from Atlanta, I never had nothing in my whole life, that's Rihanna n*gga. She the biggest R&B artist and she just got humiliated. 'You can come to the show.' "

Soulja Boy goes on to claim he was dating Teyana Taylor at the time, and kicked her off his tour bus so he could hang with Rihanna. So, Taylor allegedly became upset and told Brown about the situation.

According to the rapper, he was in New York City the following day for a tour date with Lil Wayne, and once again, Rihanna reached out to hang with Soulja Boy. He called her directly, went to her hotel room to smoke, eat, and hang out.

"That’s what the beef really stems from. It stems from Rihanna," Soulja said. "Same sh*t he doing now with Karrueche, but way back then he wasn’t snorting so much coke."

Watch him explain the Rihanna connection to their beef, and in the clip below, Soulja Boy discusses he and Brown being members of a Blood Gang set in Compton.
