James Harden Still Upset He Didn’t Win MVP Last Season :::: #NBA

James HardenIt was a close battle in the NBA's MVP race last season, but it was Warriors guard Stephen Curry who was ultimately awarded the accolade.
While it seems appropriate, especially since Curry and his Warriors won the championship, Rockets star James Harden is still salty about not winning.
"I know I was the MVP," Harden told NBA.com in an interview this week. "That's 100 percent given all the things that happened last season."
Harden came in second place for MVP honors, but he feels he deserved it more... given how much of an impact he had on his team and the stats he put up.

"[T]hat award means most valuable to your team. We finished second in the West, which nobody thought we were going to do at the beginning of the year even when everybody was healthy," said Harden. "We were near the top in having the most injuries. We won our division in a division where every single team made the playoffs. ... There's so many factors. I led the league in total points scored, minutes played. Like I said, I'm not taking anything away from Steph, but I felt I deserved the Most Valuable Player. That stays with me."
Still, despite being upset, Harden says he'll do even more this season. "You don't think I can do more? Just wait. I'll show you," he said.
