Hornets’ Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Out 6 Months :::: #NBA

Michael Kidd-GilchristCharlotte Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is expected to miss six months after having surgery on his right shoulder on Tuesday night (Oct. 6), reportsESPN.
As previously reported, Kidd-Gilchrist dislocated his shoulder in a preseason game Saturday night (Sept. 3) against Orlando. Then, an MRI revealed that he had a torn labrum, so he opted for surgery.
The Hornets will have their work cut out for them, in filling the void left by Kidd-Gilchrist. Last season, the team went 27-28 when he played and 6-21 without him.
With their top defensive player down, Nicolas Batum is expected to see more action at small forward, though he was originally expected to start at shooting guard. It also opens the door for P.J. Hairston or Jeremy Lamb to start at the No. 2 spot.
