The Nike Cortez was the brand's first track shoe, created back in 1972, and worn by the Athletics West running team, founded by Nike co-founders, Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, as well as Geoff Hollister.
Paying homage to the team, Nike rolls out this Cortez capsule, coming in six archival colorways of the sneaker -- including the iconic white/red/blue iteration donned by Forrest Gump. To go along with Swoosh branding, we also see the team's logo on the insole to complete the retro-inspired design.
All colorways of the Nike Cortez are available at select accounts, including SNKRS now.
