Lil Wayne opened up about rumors of his retirement, while appearing on Skip Bayless' FOX Sports show, Undisputed.
During his appearance on the show, which featured a new theme song Weezy recorded, the rapper addressed recent tweets that hinted at his possible retirement.
"This is a tweet [that came] after an argument. I was at a tipping point, over the argument," Wayne explained of his retirement tweets. "This is business. Once business is involved, I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother, and we’ve got bills. This is business, so once the business is right, then everything is right."
"I didn't take the tweet down, because I still feel that way. Until something is done about it, then maybe I'll change," he added.
Host Shannon Sharpe went on to ask if Wayne would consider working with Birdman again (although he didn't say him by name), if they resolved their issues. "No, sir," he replied. "Give me mine and I’ll walk off free, smiling."
Regarding retirement, Wayne is thinking about it, but hasn't stopped recording music. "If that [tweet] was at 3:30 [a.m.], I probably was at the studio at 6," he said. "The height of my talent or the height of my career, I haven’t reached that at all."
Lil Wayne is still suing Cash Money for $51 million. Apparently, he's fed up with the entire process.
