Cavs’ Iman Shumpert Arrested For Driving While High :::: #Sports

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert was reportedly arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana back in August, reports TMZ.

The police report says the 26-year-old was pulled over outside of Atlanta on Aug. 10th, at around around 11:37 PM, for a lane change violation and because his taillights were out on his rented Audi A3.

During the stop, the arresting officer says Shumpert reeked of weed... and his eyes were bloodshot. So, a field sobriety test was administered, and it determined Shumpert was high. The NBA player also admitted that he had smoked weed before leaving his friend's house.

After a search of the vehicle, cops found a mason jar with marijuana. Subsequently, Shumpert was arrested for DUI and possession of weed (less than an ounce).

In a statement, the Cavs said the team has discussed the situation with Iman and "will monitor the progression of the pending case."

"A court date has not been set at this point, and neither Iman or the team will have any additional comments while the matter progresses through the legal process."
