Apple Watch Series 2 Makes Debut :::: #Tech

Apple officially unveiled the Apple Watch Series 2 on Wednesday (Sept. 7), during its annual keynote presentation.

The highlight of the new smart watch is being water resistant for depths of up to 50 meters. But, other updates include a brighter display, built-in GPS and the S2 system -- a dual-core processor, making it 50-percent faster than the original.

The Apple Watch 2 will also come in three various color schemes: aluminum, stainless steel and white ceramic (touted as four times stronger than stainless steel). And, the Sport edition will come in silver, space gray, rose gold and gold colorways along with new bands.

Additionally, Apple will continue its partnership with luxury fashion label Hermès, which will result in a number of new bands and colors. Nike will also produce brand-specific editions of the wearable, elegantly-named Apple Watch Series 2 Nike+ Edition.

The Apple Watch Series 2 is slated to launch on Sept. 16, starting at $369 USD for the 38mm edition, as well as the Nike+ Edition. The Hermès model will go for $1,149 USD, while the Ceramic will be the priciest at $1,249 USD.
