Hasbro, owner of the Transformers brand, has partnered with game developer Kabam for a massively multiplayer mobile game centered around the franchise.
According to Variety, the game will be free-to-play app featuring a number of the Transformers characters from both the Autobots and Decepticons factions, from Optimus Prime to Megatron.
Players will be involved in battles with role-playing game and strategy elements, with a debut set for the second quarter of 2017.
Kabam has developed other popular mobile games, including Marvel Contest of Champions for Disney and Fast & Furious: Legacy for Universal.
