Jennifer Lopez to Play Drug Kingpin Griselda Blanco in HBO Movie :::: #Entertainment

Jennifer Lopez will star and produce an upcoming HBO movie, based around the late Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is currently in development and focuses on the rise and fall of Blanco, the notorious drug lord known as "The Cocaine Godmother that helped expand the U.S. drug trade during the 1970s-80s and becoming the most powerful female cartel member ever... in the process.
"I’ve been fascinated by the life of this corrupt and complicated woman for many years," Lopez said. "The idea of teaming with HBO felt like the perfect fit for finally bringing Griselda’s story to life."
Blanco was killed in Colombia in September 2012. Her story was told in documentary Cocaine Cowboys 2, which painted her as a highly successful drug kingpin who made millions trafficking cocaine into the U.S., and also notoriously violent, ordering dozens of murders during her reign at the top.
She was arrested in 1985 and sentenced to almost two decades in a U.S. prison before being deported and, by reported accounts, going on to live a quiet life in Colombia's second-largest city.
