Demetrius Shipp Calls “All Eyez On Me” the “Biggest Biopic Ever” :::: #Entertainment

Demetrius Shipp, Jr., in his first acting role, has been tapped to play Tupac Shakur, in the much anticipated biopic, All Eyez On Me.

Following successes with Notorious and Straight Outta Compton, there's a lot of pressure on the Pac film, which has been talked about for years.

Shipp is going out on a limb, saying All Eyez On Me cannot be compared to the other biopics.

It's Tupac, and this is a global star and icon. This is one of the biggest biopics that will ever be done," he said in a recent interview with Complex. "Next to Michael Jackson, you know what I'm saying? As far as the people in the world that's respected and loved when it comes to entertainment and as big as Pac, it's Mike... Tupac, Elvis or something like that?"

As for the filming process, Shipp tells Complex the hardest part to shoot was Pac's death.

"The hardest scene was the death scene, shooting the first part of it," he revealed. "We waited until the end of it all, so we literally shot it at the very end. You're coming to the end of it all, and you realize what's really going on, the full spectrum. I engulfed myself in his life completely, and it was really emotional for me. It was like, wow, I'm really understanding his life and the turns of what happened that led him to being there that night."

All Eyez On Me is due in theaters in November. Read the full interview with Shipp here.
