A Visual Breakdown of Pablo Escobar’s Absurd Fortune :::: #LifeStyle

Netflix's Narcos offers a look behind Pablo Escobar's infamous Medellín Cartel, and although we know the drug kingpin made a lot of cash, it's hard to grasp just how much the criminal enterprise was raking in at its peak.

Youtube channel RealLifeLore offers a visual look into the immense wealth that Escobar amassed during his reign as the world's largest cocaine trafficker.

At its peak, the Medellín Cartel was moving 15 tons of coca per day, which equals $60 million USD in revenue or roughly $22 billion USD per year. Apparently, Escobar's operation had so much cash on hand, he was spending $1,000 per week just on rubber bands.

Interestingly, if it were listed on the Fortune 500, Escobar's Medellín Cartel rank 129th, earning more annual revenue than both Starbucks and Facebook.
