Although we knew it was coming soon, San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan surprised us all Monday (July 11), when announced his retirement.
Going down as of the NBA's all-time greats, the big man retires after 19 seasons... and with the team that picked him with the first overall in the 1997 Draft.
Following the news, people across Twitter paid their respects to Duncan's career and legacy.

Duncan finishes his career with five NBA championships, two NBA MVP awards and three Finals MVP awards, making him one of the most decorated players in recent NBA history.
