We had no idea, but apparently, Rihanna is a Trekkie.
In support of the next installment of the franchise, Star Trek Beyond, the pop star sits down with Paramount Picutures to share her story of being a Trekkie.
"My dad was the one who introduced me to Star Trek," Rihanna explains. "It just took me one episode to fall in love with the characters and just this other world, that I couldn't understand, but I felt like I could to relate to. It never left me. Once you become a Star Trek fan, you never are not a Star Trek fan."
Star Trek Beyond hits theatres July 22.
Rihanna recently collaborated with Dior on a pair of Star Trek-inspired sunglasses, inspired by character Geordi La Forge, who she talks about in the above clip.
