Nintendo Controllers Coming for Smartphones? :::: #Tech

Is Nintendo planning to make a controller for mobile gaming?
According to Apple Insider, the gaming giant is considering plans for a physical controller that attaches to smartphones.
"Physical controllers for smart device applications are available in the market and it is possible that we may also develop something new by ourselves," Nintendo GM Shinya Takahashi said during a annual shareholders meeting. "I believe Nintendo's way of thinking is to look at whether action games are really not impossible (without a physical controller for smart device applications) to create and how we can make it happen to create such a game."

The plans would also be in line with Nintendo's announcement last year to develop original mobile games, via a partnership with app maker DeNA.
A game called Miitomo was the first of Nintendo's mobile apps to land on iOS, with a launch in Japan followed by U.S. release in March.
Stay tuned...
