James Harden Signs $118M Extension With Rockets :::: #NBA

James Harden will stay in Houston, after agreeing to a contract extension with the Rockets on Saturday (July 9), keeping him their centerpiece player.
While details were not revealed, sources tell USA Today the contract is four years and $118 million, along with a player option in the final season.
Harden is coming off a disappointing Rockets season. Individually, he put up elite numbers (29 points, 7.5 assists and six rebounds per game). But as a team, the Rockets went 41-41, and barely made the playoffs with the eighth seed, only to be eliminated in the first round by the Golden State Warriors.

However, this offseason, there's been a lot of changes. Mike D'Antoni has been given the head coaching job and Dwight Howard has left in free agency. And, the team has added free agents like Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon, who should help them keep up in the Western Conference race.
