After five seasons in New Orleans, Eric Gordon has agreed to a four-year, $53 million deal with the Houston Rockets, reports ESPN.
Gordon, 27, began his stint with the Pelicans in 20110, after being traded from the L.A. Clippers, as part of the blockbuster Chris Paul trade. However, his time in the NOLA was plagued by injury. He played just nine games in the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season, and has missed an average of 29 games per season since.
In New Orleans, Gordon averaged 15.3 points and 39 percent shooting on 3s in five seasons.
Before reaching the deal with Gordon this weekend, the Rockets also agreed to terms with power forward Ryan Anderson.
