Another police shooting has rocked the Internet, as video of 37-year-old Alton Sterling being shot by Baton Rouge Police went viral, following by the death of a second man in Minnesota named Philando Castile.
The graphic cellphone video of Sterling, which was recorded by a two witnesses, appears to show him being tackled and shot, as two cops pin him to the ground before he is killed. Authorities said he was armed.
Hours later, another graphic video surfaces of another police shooting, sparking outrage across the Internet.
32-year-old Philando Castile was fatally shot during a traffic stop in the city of Falcon Heights, and it was chronicled by his girlfriend Lavish Reynolds, who began livestreaming on Facebook shortly after he was shot while sitting in the passenger seat of a car when being pulled over for a "busted taillight".
In the clip, the officer is distraught and repeated yells "F*ck!", before explaining to Reynold, "I told him to get his hand off!" while continuing to point the gun into the car.
"He's licensed to carry and was trying to get out his ID and his wallet out his [pocket] and he let the officer know he had a firearm, and he was reaching for his wallet," she explains to the camera. "And the officer just shot him in his arm ... he just shot his arm off.”
Since the videos surfaced, it has garnered outrage by many.
Compton rapper The Game questioned why no one takes action, other than reposting and commenting. "WTF is wrong with us these days that we will sit here & watch a video of yet another innocent man shot & killed in cold blood by police officers in this country ?!?!? WTF is wrong with ME, YOU & everyone else who will watch the video & read this caption & DO NOTHING until it happens again... Then what we gone do ??"
YG seemed to shake his head, tweeting: "Police get away wit Murder".
L.A. Clippers star Chris Paul simply asked for peace, tweeting the #AltonSterling hashtag, alongside #Pray4Peace.
Drake, who is usually silent during controversial moments, took to Instagram to offer his thoughts, writing: "I am grateful to be able to call America my second home. Last night, when I saw the video of Alton Sterling being killed, it left me feeling disheartened, emotional and truly scared. I woke up with a strong need to say something."
