After the Atlanta Hawks signed Dwight Howard, free agent center Al Horford chooses to sign with the Boston Celtics.
According to ESPN, Horford has agreed to terms with Boston on a four-year max deal worth $113 million and includes a player option after the third year.
The All-Star also revealed the news on Twitter, tweeting "Celtic Pride", alongside a number of shamrock emojis.
Horford was one of the most sought-after free agents this summer.
The Celtics had room for two max-contract free agents this summer, and also met with Kevin Durant on Saturday night. Adding Horford makes Boston a contender in the Eastern Conference, after recording 48 wins last season.
Horford has played his entire nine-year career in Atlanta, which drafted him third overall in 2007. Last season, he averaged 15.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists.
