Sony Confirms High-End PlayStation 4 Called “Neo” :::: #Tech

Sony has confirmed that it's planning to release an upgraded version of the PlayStation 4 codenamed "Neo" ... but it will not be unveiled at E3 next week.
Sony Interactive CEO Andrew House confirmed the news to Financial Times, and adding that the "high-end PS4" will more expensive than the current $350 USD PS4, which originallylaunched in Nov. 2013 for $400 USD.

The news comes after months of rumors that Sony was working on a more powerful version of the console, which is said to offer better graphics and support for 4K televisions.
Despite the impending release of the "Neo", the current PS4s will exist in tandem, says House, and both will support the forthcoming PlayStation VR headset, due this October.
"All games will support the standard PS4 and we anticipate all or a very large majority of games will also support the high-end PS4," House says.
As for E3, House said the PS4 "NEO" is not ready and they want "to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety."
