After being placed on the market earlier this year for $200 million, the Playboy Mansion has sold.
According to the L.A. Times, the legendary Holmby Hills estate -- where Hugh Hefner has lived for decades -- is under contract to sell for an undisclosed price.
The buyer has been identified by the Wall Street Journal as Daren Metropoulos, the son of billionaire investor C. Dean Metropoulos.
Despite the sale, Hefner, 90, will be allowed to live out the remainder of his life at the mansion.
Built in 1927 for department store scion Arthur Letts Jr., the estate was designer by Arthur R. Kelly. Playboy later acquired the estate in 1971 for about $1.1 million.
It sits on more than five acres and boasts 29 rooms, including a wine cellar (with a Prohibition-era secret door), a screening room with built-in pipe organ, a game room, three zoo/aviary buildings, a tennis/basketball court, a waterfall and a swimming pool area, as well as the grotto.
