Former NFL Player Davone Bess Arrested After Police Standoff :::: #Sports

Davone Bess, a former wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, is facing felony charges, after being arrested following a standoff with police at his Phoenix home.
According to ESPN, Bess was stopped in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert late Sunday (June 19) for driving without his headlights on.
From there, police say he pointed his finger like a gun at officers and moved it up and down, mimicking firing a gun. He then fled to his home, where he waved a knife while still in his car and eventually walked into his home, while ignoring commands from police.
A SWAT team eventually entered, after getting a search warrant, and took Bess into custody.

He was charged with one felony count each of endangerment, unlawful flight and failure to stop for a police officer, and released on $2,500 bond Monday night (June 20)
Bess, 30, played for the Dolphins from 2008 to 2012. He would play for the Cleveland Browns in 2013 and released after the season.
