“Finding Dory” Opens to Record Box Office Debut :::: #Entertainment

Although many of our staff were watching Game 7 of the NBA Finals this weekend, kids and families hit movie theaters in droves for Finding Dory.
The Finding Nemo sequel had a record weekend at the box office, earning $136.2 million -- the biggest domestic opening ever for an animated title, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Finding Dory has also become the only animated movie to crack the top 20 overall list at No. 18.
The previous record-holder for the top debut for an animated film was Shrek the Third, which debuted to $121.6 million in 2007. Until now, Pixar's best was Toy Story 3 (2010) with $110.3 million.
It also topped the box office, beating out Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart's Central Intelligence, which landed in second with a solid $34.5 million.
