Desiigner has shot to stardom, thanks to his chart-topping single, "Panda".
On the song, one of the only lines you can make out, due to his unique flow, is: "I got broads in Atlanta". However, Desiigner has never been to the ATL.
In a recent interview with Billboard, the New York rapper says that he drew inspiration for "Panda" from a girl he met on Facebook. "We never met in person," Desiigner says. "She just said she was from ATL, so I was like, 'All right, I got broads in Atlanta.' It's real life, you feel me? I put real-life sh*t in my songs."
Since "Panda" become a hit, Desiigner has signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label. He is now hard at work on his debut mixtape, Trap History Month, and his debut album, Life of Desiigner.
"The work ethic behind everything Kanye does is crazy," he says. "It's greatness. He told me, 'We're not just rappers, we're artists.' "
