Three years after the original, DC Games announces Injustice 2, ahead of this year's E3 conference.
The sequel picks up where 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us left off. In an alternate reality, the game is set in a world where Superman squares off against Batman and his allies.
In the announcement trailer, we see Superman and The Flash battling, before Batman makes an appearance, then we also see the introduction of Supergirl.
Other playable characters includes Flash nemesis Gorilla Grodd and Green Lantern antagonist Atrocitus, as wellas Aquaman and many, many others.
Injustice 2 is due out in 2017.
