Philadelphia 76ers Win NBA Draft Lottery, Lakers Get 2nd Pick :::: #NBA

The NBA Draft lottery has been drawn
and the Philadelphia 76ers were awarded with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming 2016 draft.
The Sixers finished this season with the worst record, winning just 10 games... as part of a rebuilding/tanking plan. In fact, the team has lost 199 games in the past three seasons, but were unable to secure the top pick. Their last No. 1 overall pick was in 1996, when they draft Allen Iverson.
With the first pick, the team is expected to choose either LSU freshman forward Ben Simmons or Duke freshman forward Brandon Ingram, both of whom are considered to be the top two prospects in the draft.

"The city has endured a lot over the past three seasons," said head coach Brett Brown. "I felt like we were doing the right things all along the way. We were never skipping steps. We put in good days. Our process was questioned. At times fair enough."
After finishing with the NBA's second-worst record, the Los Angeles Lakers ended up with the second overall pick in next month's draft... and expected to draft the top prospect that Philly doesn't.
The Boston Celtics land the third pick, followed by the Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves.
