LeBron James appeared in a funny
video recently, in which he poses as an employee of Blaze Pizza.
Well, he's actually an investor in the pizza chain, and it's successful... being named the fastest-growing restaurant chain in the US.
According to Business Insider, Blaze Pizza grew sales 205% over the prior year, the largest gain of any restaurant chain measured in the 2016 Technomic Top 500 Chain Restaurant Report.
So far, Blaze Pizza has 105 locations, and is sure to open many more if the growth continues.
LeBron posed as "Ron" in the recently released clip, helping prepare pizzas, as customers looked at him and had an inkling that he was someone they knew.James' role in the marketing campaign is part of Blaze's plan to become the biggest name in the fast-casual business.
By 2017, Blaze Pizza wants to be the fifth-largest pizza chain in the US, behind Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Caesars, and Papa John's.
