Lauryn Hill Announces Diaspora Calling! Festival :::: #Music

Lauryn Hill has partnered with TIDAL
X for the launch of a three-day music/arts festival in Brooklyn called Diaspora Calling!.
Set to run Friday (April 15) at Kings Theatre, Hill describes the festival as "a collection of works intended to celebrate the rich tapestry of artists from the African Diaspora while also illumining persistent and irrepressible themes".
"Even if we work independently, we are a resounding collective voice, both reconciling and embracing our relationship to history, our origins, our future and to ourselves," Hill said in a statement.

The festivities kicked off on Wednesday night (April 13) with a private celebration and art gallery, where attendees enjoyed musicy DJ Spinna and DJ Juls, while Hill curated the gallery along with MoCADA, Nader Haitian Art, and the Haiti Cultural Exchange.
The gallery is open to the public from 12-4 p.m. today and tomorrow.
On Friday, Hill will headline the inaugural festival, with additional performances by Machel Montano, Stephen "Ragga" Marley, Stonebwoy, Wondaboy, and Mr. Eazi.
It will be livestreamed on TIDAL for members and non-members alike.
