Young Thug recently announced the upcoming release of Slime Season 3, but also has a ton of music in the can. In addition to a joint project with Migos, he has a slew of songs waiting in the vault... with Kanye West
During a stop by "The Angie Martinez Show" this week, the rapper revealed that he has recorded "like 40 songs, way more than an album" with Ye.
"Me and him, we did a lot of songs, a lot of rhythms," Thugger said, adding that he and Kanye have been working together for three years.
When asked if the songs would be released any time soon, Thug said he didn't know. "I guess we're just placing them, getting them together. Unfortunately, I can't give you a date on that based on the papers I signed with him," he explained.
Thug was joined by 300 Entertainment CEO Lyor Cohen, who weighed in. "You have two of the most creative forces in this game today collaborating. Kanye's a genius and he's constantly looking for other people who are prepared, who are creative risk takers. So perfect, call Thug -- speed dial."
Young Thug will drop Slime Season 3 on Feb. 5.
