Shaquille O'Neal helped the Miami Heat win their first NBA title back in 2006, but will soon hang another banner into the rafters... when they retire his jersey.
The Heat made the announcement on Tuesday that they will retire his No. 32 jersey at the beginning of next season, making him just the third player in franchise history, joining Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway.
Miami will also be the second team to retire Shaq's jersey, following the Lakers.

"Shaquille O'Neal is one of the truly elite players in the history of the game and one of the greatest players to ever wear a Heat uniform," Heat President Pat Riley said. "He took us to another level as a basketball franchise while leading us to our first NBA championship."
