Machine Gun Kelly Says Race Is Only An Issue For Macklemore :::: #Music

Machine Gun Kelly
Machine Gun Kelly was questioned by a TMZ cameraman while at LAX recently, who said he considered him one of the top 5 white rappers ever... which MGK didn't exactly like.
"I'm not just a great White rapper," the rapper replied. "I'm a great rapper."
As the conversation continued, the cameraman mentioned Macklemore's latest song, "White Privilege II", and race in hip-hop. MGK downplayed it, saying he's comfortable in his own skin.

"Race is not an issue," said MGK. "Race is an issue for people like Macklemore.... I'm comfortable in my own skin. I can't help other people be the same way."
On the "White Privilege II" track, Macklemore questions appropriation of Black culture by artists like himself, Miley Cyrus and Iggy Azalea. He's since said itwasn't meant as a diss, but as an exploration of self-awareness.
