With Super Bowl 50 set, people are putting money down on their favorite: the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. Here's the favorite for gamblers.
VegasInsider.com tweeted on Sunday (Jan. 24) that the early line is between Panthers favored by 4 and Panthers favored by 3.5, depending on the sports book, and the over/under is 45.5 or 46 points.
If you watched Sunday's games, you might agree.
The Broncos barely won against the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game, 20-18, when the Pats failed on a two-point conversion with 12 seconds left to tie the game.
The Panthers, however, completely crushed the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 in the NFC championship game.
Carolina only made the Super Bowl one other time, back in 2004 at Super Bowl XXXVIII, where they were 7-point underdogs, according to Vegas Insider's history. The Broncos made the Super Bowl with Manning two years ago against the Seattle Seahawks, and lost 43-8 after being a 2.5-point favorite.
