Ben & Jerry's co-founder has released a custom ice cream, not associated with the brand, inspired by presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
Ben Cohen created 40 pints of "Bernie's Yearning", which illustrates the wealth gap and to help drum up enthusiasm for the Democratic candidate. The ice cream features a solid chocolate top atop mint ice cream.
"Jerry and I have been constituents of Bernie Sanders for the last 30 years," Vermonter Cohen writes. "We've seen him in action and we believe in him."
Unfortunately, Bernie's Yearning won't hit store shelves. Cohen will donate 25 to the Sanders campaign, with the rest being awarded to randomly selected supporters, who sign up on the Sander's site.
