After serving a couple months for failing to pay child support, DMX is a free man.
X was sentenced to serve six months in July for child support issues. However, the rapper says there was an issue with his original arrest ... because he was cuffed without being properly served.
The rapper (real name: Earl Simmons) was released from jail on Friday (Sept. 25) after his lawyer filed papers asking the judge to throw out the first ruling ... and he agreed to pay his baby's mother $20,000.
So, for now, he's free... but he may get jail time if his next hearing doesn't go well.
