Surprise, Surprise: Mayweather-Berto Was A PPV Dud :::: #Sports

Andre Berto and Floyd MayweatherThe numbers are in, and Floyd Mayweather's supposed final fight against Andre Berto last Saturday (Sept. 12) was a pay-per-view dud.
According to Yahoo Sports, the fight sold roughly 400,000 PPV buys, one source said, while another estimated a bit higher at between 500,000 and 550,000.
Still, the result will be the lowest figure since Mayweather sold 325,000 in his fight against Carlos Baldomir on HBO PPV in 2006.
As expected, the boxing superstar cruised to a boring 12-round decision, earning his 49th win, which matched the mark set by heavyweight legend Rocky Marciano. He also earned a minimum $32 million from the fight.

The fight came on the biggest fight in boxing history: Mayweather-Pacquiao. The May 2 fight against Manny Pacquiao sold a record 4.6 million PPV units and generated a record of more than $400 million in PPV revenue.
