Rockets’ Dwight Howard Detained At Houston Airport With Gun :::: #NBA

Dwight HowardRockets center Dwight Howard was detained at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston last Friday (August 28) when a handgun was found in his carry-on bag.
Reports said the 29-year-old NBA star was stopped at Terminal E at 7 a.m., when TSA officials discovered a pistol in the bottom of a carry-on bag. He told them the gun was his, and after being detained, he was allowed to give the handgun to an associate... and board a later flight.
The Houston District Attorney's office has declined to press any criminal charges against him.

Houston Police Department spokesperson Kese Smith said guns are periodically found at both of Houston's main airports... and that few charges are filed or arrests made.
In Texas, a person can carry a concealed handgun with the proper license. Furthermore, a law passed this year will allow residents in Texas, with a conceal-carry license, to openly carry starting Jan. 1, 2016.
