Following the Apple TV unveiling last week, rival Amazon announces a new 4K Ultra HD upgrade for its Fire TV lineup.
In addition to 4K support, the new Fire TV boasts a 64-bit quad-core processor and a dedicated GPU, offering 75 percent more processing power than its predecessor.
Also, despite the improvements, the Fire TV retails for under $100, while the Gaming Edition will cost you $140 USD, which includes everything available to the regular Fire TV, in addition to a 32GB microSD card and the new Fire TV Game Controller with headphone jack and voice capabilities.
