NBA legend Michael Jordan is set to be inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame.
The International Basketball Federation made the announcement Friday (July 17) that Jordan will be part of nine player-class to be enshrined September 19.
The rest of the class includes players Sarunas Marciulionis (Lithuania), Anne Donovan (U.S.), Vladimir Tkachenko (Russia/Ukraine), Ruperto Herrera Tabio (Cuba) and Antoine Rigaudeau (France); coach Jan Stirling (Australia), technical official Robert Blanchard (France) and contributor Noah Klieger (Israel).
Jordan, who is a six-time NBA champ, won gold with the U.S. in 1984 at Los Angeles, then led the famed Dream Team in 1992 in Barcelona, Spain. He's already in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as an individual and with the rest of the Dream Team. Now, enters another Hall of Fame.
The 2015 Class will be honored in Lille, France, then presented at halftime of the Eurobasket championship game on September 20.
