Jeremy Lin Signs Deal With Charlotte Hornets

After a single season in Los Angeles, free agent guard Jeremy Lin joined the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday (July 9).
While terms were not disclosed, ESPN reports that the contract is for Charlotte's biannual exception -- two years and $4.3 million.
Lin had announced the Hornets deal on Instagram on Wednesday night (July 8).

The 26-year-old Lin played in 74 games for the Lakers last season, starting 30 of them, where he averaged 11.2 points, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
 
In Charlotte, he's expected to back up Kemba Walker and run the second-team offense.
The team has also acquired Nicolas Batum, Jeremy Lamb and Spencer Hawes in trades, while drafting Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky, The Associated Press Player of the Year in college last season.
