Fresh off the release of his new "Energy" video, Drake announces that he will host his own OVO Sound show on Apple Music's Beats 1 station.
During an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 radio, the rapper revealed the news, while comparing his show to his OVO blog, where he would release music and updates for fans.
"This is something that I'm so excited about," Drake said, "because you wanna talk about getting gems, getting treats. This is definitely where you're gonna go to get your fix."
Drake joins Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams and Jaden Smith as celebrity hosts on Beats 1.
"Everybody else has had their show," he says. "Everybody else has had their shot, so you gotta give us our shot now. It's our time now. I'm ready. You wanna talk about being competitive, I challenge everybody else to have a radio show to beat this."
Drake's show aired Friday (July 10) at 6 p.m. PST. on Beats 1 Radio.
