Adidas celebrated the release of their newly designed Ace15 and X15 cleats Wednesday night (July 15) with exclusive soccer clinics, interviews, 2 v. 2 soccer tournaments, and food and drinks.
Taking a two cleat approach, the brand sought to cater to the two most dominating types of players in the game with state of the art footwear that encourages athletes to #BeTheDifference in play-making situations.
The Ace15 silhouette was inspired by analyzing the needs of the world's most dominating defensive players with the introduction of an innovative, impact absorbing, CTRL/WEB toe box and traction generating GROUND/CTRL stud design. Not to be overshadowed, the all-new X15 was designed for offensive playmakers and speed demons alike, introducing a lightweight X-SKIN and X-CAGE that provides support without jeopardizing speed or energy.
The exclusive event quickly neared capacity and featured appearances by LA Galaxy players Steven Gerrard and Mika Vayrynen, and Adidas' product marketing and merchandising managers. YG capped off the evening's festivities with an exclusive performane.
Adidas' new Ace15 and X15 soccer cleats are now available online and in stores for $220 USD.
