The latest colorway of Kevin Durant's signature KD VI
sneaker was created as a tribute to his late Aunt Pearl who passed away
from lung cancer in 2000.
The sneaker comes in a pink floral pattern on the upper with blue accents and subtle pearl details. The floral motif is inspired by the pattern that adorned Aunt Pearl's favorite robe, one that she wore when spending time with young Kevin watching movies at his grandmother's house in Maryland.
To raise awareness in the battle against women's cancer, proceeds from this model will go to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
The KD VI Aunt Pearl will release February 27 at Nike.com and select retailers around the world.
